I Beg
Your Pardon
(June 13, 2010) Sermon Questions
Text: Luke 7:36-50
What
barriers would I be willing to overcome so I could meet
with Jesus?
In what way
do I make 'sinners' not feel welcome around me?
- What sins in others can I just not get past?
- If someone who had committed those sins was to come
here on a Sunday, how welcome would they feel around me?
If Jesus
came here today, where would he hang out? Who would he
hang out with? And why?
- How prepared am I to hang out with the people Jesus
would hang out with?
Who am I
more like -- the woman, or Simon?
- What is the difference between how I look at my sins
and how she looked at hers?
What will I
do this week so my life says loud and to anyone
anywhere, "You are welcome"?
How willing
am I to look into the eyes of Jesus and say, "I beg your
pardon"?
