Ministry F.A.Q. |
|
|
"How long do
I have to be attending Holy Trinity before I can get involved?"
Well, that depends on what sort of ministry you have been praying about.
It is important to us that the people who serve at Holy Trinity are members
of the church. We want Holy Trinity to be your home before you start
taking care of it in some way. Much like you would not expect a
visitor to clean your house when they are visiting, we also would encourage
you to wait until you can call Holy Trinity "Home" before making any
commitments to service. Usually we suggest waiting for a period of 6
months. This way you know the church family and the church knows you. |

answered here, please

"If I have
an idea for a new ministry for Holy Trinity, what do I do? Who do I
talk to?"
At Holy
Trinity we encourage you to seek out God's call for you in your life.
Pastor Stephen would be more than happy to talk to you about your idea(s)
and pray with you about your calling.

"Do I have
to be serving in a ministry in order to stay a member of Holy Trinity?" No. We strive at Holy
Trinity to be a place where people can come and get fed. We are not
interested in making anyone do anything they do not want to do. That
being said, we also feel that there is much to gain from serving others.
A ministry might be a good way for you to stretch your wings and broaden
your horizons. We do recommend that you prayerfully consider your
getting involved in any way. |
|
|
"Will I know
when people are needed for any of the ministries at Holy Trinity?"
Often when extra help is needed
with a ministry, it will be announced before or after the service on Sunday.
You may also read about any ministry's needs on the web site. It's is
possible that if there is "room" in a ministry, the ministry heads will just
pray for more help to come along. It never hurts to ask if there are
any needs that you might be able to fill. You may contact the head of any given ministry, or Pastor
Stephen.

"Do I have
to be a certain age to serve at Holy Trinity?"
Nope. We believe that the Lord can use
people of all ages to do His work. |

Prayer Ministry FAQ |
|
|
"Why a prayer ministry FAQ?"
Going up for prayer can be an intimidating thing for some poeple. This
FAQ is intended to familiarize people will the process so they have an idea
of what to expect. |

What is the Healing Ministry?
The
Healing Ministry provides an opportunity for members of Holy Trinity to seek
God’s healing power through prayer and the laying on of hands. Every Sunday,
teams of two people are available to pray with you during Communion for any
healing need you might have.
|
|
|
Where do I go?
During
Communion, there will be one or two prayer stations set up in the Prayer
Chapel. The Prayer Chapel is located right beside the Worship band area.
Proceed through the open door to the right of the Worship band where a
member of the Healing Ministry will greet you and guide you to a prayer
station. If the stations are full, you may sit in one of the empty chairs
just outside the Prayer Chapel.
If you
would like to receive healing prayer, please feel free to go up for
Communion as soon as the Worship band has received Communion, and then
proceed to the Prayer Chapel.

|
What
kind of healing is offered?
We are
happy to pray with you for any healing need you have. This could be
physical, emotional or spiritual. However, all are welcome to come for any
prayer request they have; not just healing. We would love to pray with you,
and for you, for anything.

|
What
is ‘laying on of hands’?
“When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various
kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed
them.”
- Luke 4:40
The
Bible teaches us that Jesus and His disciples would place their hands upon
the people they were praying for, specifically as they sought God’s healing
power. The Healing Ministry will offer to place their hands on your shoulder
as they pray for God’s healing touch. We will always pray in a manner that
is most comfortable for you, so there is no obligation to receive the laying
on of hands.
|
|
|
What
happens?
When
you come to a prayer station, you will sit with two members of the healing
team who will listen to your request for prayer and/or healing. We will then
begin seeking God’s healing touch through prayer. We may place our hands on
your shoulder (see above) or lift our hands as we call upon the Holy Spirit
and pray with you. Most people find this to be a very peaceful and spiritual
experience. We offer up our prayers and will allow a time for you to offer
your own prayers, out loud or in the silence of your heart. The length of
time spent in prayer is always dependant upon the Holy Spirit.
Anything discussed or prayed for is keptt strictly
confidential. The prayer chapel is a safe place for you to ask for and
receive healing prayer and to find peace in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Can
I join the Healing Ministry?
We are
always looking for more people to join our team. We strongly encourage
anyone interested to spend time in prayer seeking God’s will and direction.
If you feel that you are being called to this ministry or are just curious
about joining, please contact the Ministry Head.
